Jeri Westerson

L.A. native Jeri Westerson writes the critically acclaimed “Crispin Guest Medieval Noir” series. Her protagonist is a disgraced knight turned detective, plying his trade on the mean streets of fourteenth century London. Author Tim Hallinan says about her latest CUP OF BLOOD, “CUP OF BLOOD starts like a clap of thunder. Crispin maintains his standing as one of today’s (and yesterday’s) most engaging private eyes. I loved it!”
Her books have been shortlisted for a slew of mystery awards, including the Macavity, Romantic Times Reviewers’ Choice Award, the Agatha, and the Shamus, and the sixth was named Best of 2013 by Suspense Magazine. The Boston Globe calls her detective “A medieval Sam Spade, a tough guy who operates according to his own moral compass.”

Jeri is president for the southern California chapter of Mystery Writers of America and is former vice president of the Los Angeles chapter of Sisters in Crime. She is also a member of the Historical Novel Society and the Science Fiction ad Fantasy Writers of America. Jeri is married to a commercial photographer, has a screenwriter son, and herds two cats, a tortoise, a bevy of bees, and the occasional tarantula at her home in southern California.
